Things to consider when purchasing a Tanket portable or underground water tank

You will need to consider where you will situate your portable water tank.

- Tanket position
- Space in your backyard
- Visual aspect (colour of your Tanket)
- Size of Tanket (enough water storage)
- Plumbing from house to tank
Getting water to flow into your Tanket, (water wont flow up hill).
At an existing property, you need to remember that the tank will weigh a minimum of
3 Tonne and you may not wish to crane this weight over the house, so access needs to be taken into consideration.
TANKET UNDERGROUND WATER TANK
You will need to consider where you will situate your underground TANKET.
Where are your services located?
- Gas lines
- Electricity
- Telephone supply
- Water and sewerage
- Storm water etc
Just remember, things such as:
- Over head power lines
- Telephone cables
- Vehicle access all need to be taken in to consideration

Underground Tanket’s are available in many sizes & models can be installed under driveways, in back yards or even in the front yard.
A 20,000 litre Tanket water storage solution requires a hole approximately 3.5 meters in diameter and 2.75 meters deep.
If you are building a new home, install your Tanket in the back yard before you start, this allows for easy access for digging as well for the crane trucks or even a crane if required.
