Our concrete water tanks are designed to sit on a 100 KPA bearing pressure base. this is achieved via a crushed rock base, or concrete slab.

Ensure to lay 100mm of packing sand between your base and your tank.

at tanket, we recommend backfilling your tank with quarter minus, or packing sand.

quarter minus and packing sand enable the ground to move around the tank and not add uneven pressure on any wall of the tank and cause cracks or leaks.

Tanket has a range of tanks that are an ‘over sized load’ this means that the diameter or the tank is over 2,500mm. our tanks 15,075L and above, are all 3,400mm in diameter. dont worry, we can still deliver your tanks!

Our freight company applies for a ‘permit’ to travel with an oversized load through a red zone. and on the day, a pilot vehicle will escort the truck through the red zone and to your property.
